Alt Legal Webinar Domain Concern: Domain names, trademarks, and online brand health
Alt Legal Team | December 13, 2024
Analysts have predicted that domain names would become less important due to the availability of social media platforms and other ways to connect digitally, but domain protection is as important as ever. Cybersquatters and phishers continue to abuse domain names at an alarming rate, and trademark owners are fighting back. In fact, 2023 was a record year for domain name disputes resolved under the Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy (UDRP) and country-specific administrative proceedings, and 2024 might break the record again.
Join Alt Legal for a webinar on Thursday, January 9 at 4:00pm (ET), “Domain Concern: Domain names, trademarks, and online brand health.” During this webinar, UDRP panelist Claire Kowarsky will provide insights into common issues that can impact a brand’s vital online presence. Topics will include:
- Recommendations for maintaining domain name health
- Background and recent notable UDRP case studies
- Procedures for filing a successful UDRP complaint
- Best practices for protecting domains in general
Everyone who’s registered for this webinar will receive an email with a link to the recording.
