Alt Legal Acquires MarkTend
Alt Legal Team | October 01, 2019
New York, October 1, 2019. Alt Legal has entered into an agreement to acquire MarkTend, a trademark docketing and monitoring software.
MarkTend, an automated cloud-based trademark docketing and monitoring service, was started in 2008 by Michael Kassing and Steve Johnson to simplify the daily tasks of trademark maintenance. Marktend was later folded into the larger ecosystem of insured.io, the leading cloud-based insurance engagement platform.
Effective later this month, MarkTend will shut down its docketing software business and transition its docketing customers to Alt Legal. The transaction will allow MarkTend’s customers to take advantage of Alt Legal’s robust IP docketing software and related trademark tools.
Alt Legal CEO Nehal Madhani said, “As a company whose mission is to provide automated and affordable trademark docketing software, we’re thrilled to have found a partner whose mission aligns with ours. We look forward to providing Alt Legal’s docketing software to MarkTend’s customers.”
Michael Kassing, MarkTend’s CEO, added “We’re excited to transition our customers to a trademark docketing solution that is simple, automated, and affordable. With this transition, our customers will be able to take advantage of Alt Legal’s wealth of additional features to streamline their trademark docketing. We had to choose the right partner for our clients, and we believe that Alt Legal is a next generation platform.”
