Marlena Champagne, Senior Manager of Trademark Protection at Fresenius Medical Care
Marlena Champagne is the Senior Manager of North America Operations and Trademark Protection at Fresenius Medical Care, a leading provider of products and services for individuals with renal diseases. With over 13 years of experience in the Intellectual Property arena, she is a seasoned IP Professional specializing in trademarks, domains, copyrights, trademark enforcement, strategic brand protection and related brand management. Her career has been dedicated to safeguarding the intangible assets that define and distinguish businesses in a competitive marketplace.
Crysta Lemon, Manager and Senior Trademark and Copyright Paralegal at Cantor Colburn
Crysta Lemon is a Manager and Senior Paralegal in the Trademark & Copyright Department of Cantor Colburn LLP with over 15 years’ experience overseeing comprehensive intellectual property portfolios. She assists with trademark clearance requests, trademark prosecution and maintenance activities, non-U.S. adversarial proceedings, copyright protection, domain name enforcement, and customs matters. As a manager, her role encompasses the oversight of all administrative staff. Crysta fosters a culture of collaboration and works closely with her team to achieve their strategic objectives.
Michelle Renne, Senior Marketing Properties Specialist at Mars
Michelle Renne is a Senior Marketing Properties Specialist at Mars, Incorporated managing trademarks, copyrights, designs rights, and domain names on a global basis for the Mars Food & Nutrition and Mars Corporate business segments. As a key partner to the business, she provides guidance on trademark clearance, protection and enforcement strategies, licensing, social media issues, and advertising regulations. Michelle has over 25 years of experience in IP. Prior to joining Mars, she worked at Campbell Soup Company and 3 law firms in Washington, D.C. managing numerous large international trademark portfolios. She earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from James Madison University and a Paralegal Certificate from Meredith College. Michelle is an active member of INTA currently serving on the Trademark Administrators Committee. She previously served on the Commercialization of Brands Committee, Leadership Development Committee, Trademark Administrators Committee (Chair 2014-2015), TMAP Meeting Project Teams in 2008 and 2017, and TMA Roundtables Project Team (Chair 2012-2013).
